Mayor of the City of Salzburg

Dear singers and musicians! 

 

Salzburg is a city known worldwide for its music. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of Austria's greatest sons, was born here in l756, and many great masters of the classical era lived and worked here. Salzburg's orchestras and choirs, our musicans and singers carry on the musical traditions on the stages and in the concert halls of our city today.
As Mayor of the City of Salzburg, I am very pleased that the musical festival CANTUS SALISBURGENSIS SPRING FESTIVAL takes place in our beautiful city.
I would be happy if many music groups and young musicans would accept our invitation to CANTUS SALISBURGENSIS SPRING FESTIVAL and visit our city to support and strengthen international understanding with music.
I hope that all participants in this festival enjoy their stay in Salzburg and in Austria.
